This is A FANTASTIC and UNIQUE beach volleyball program for athletes that are serious about beach volleyball and dream of participating in quality competitive tournaments. Beach volleyball is also a great tool to develop your all around volleyball game.

Brazil and the USA have fought hard in the last few Olympics for the Gold and Silver medals in the event and the sport has become extremely popular.

A limited number of athletes will be admitted into the Tiger Sharks program. Athletes can sign up as individuals or as a 2-person team. The group will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 2- hours each day to develop their beach volleyball skills, game strategy and conditioning. The teams can them sign up to play at Elite tournaments around the region and the country.

The fees include training equipment, court rentals, coaching during practices and administrative expenses. Fees do not include tournament entry fees (Regional or National), travel expenses if team selects to play in National events, and coaching at tournaments.

The schedule for local tournaments will soon be posted. Most tournaments happen on weekends and/or Monday evenings. Teams select how many and which tournaments they will play.

Background and History

In 2008 , Sport Support signed an exclusive partnership with a world renown beach volleyball program. Escola de Volleyball do Betinho, based in Rio de Janeiro, trains athletes from all over the world year around. The founder and owner, Roberto Bosh, former indoor and beach professional volleyball player, and his beach volleyball physical trainer, came to Dallas and offered 2 1-week clinics in 2008. Cilene Drewnick and the staff from Escola de Voleibol do Betinho have been in constant contact since last summer. Cilene is going to Brazil in May 2009 to strengthen the partnership between both organizations and continue to exchange training knowledge related to beach volleyball.
